National Science Honor Society

The National Science Honor Society (NSHS) will be led by five officers with the help of sponsor Bermudez and co-sponsor Mrs. Cutro. Bermudez thinks their club is a good place for students because “it will help seniors obtain a scholarship, help members exercise leadership and social skills through fairs and competition and it is an easy way to gather the required community service hours for graduation,” Bermudez said.

The club focuses on forming a positive and beneficial science community by finding students with a passion for science.  Students will be able to embrace their talents through participation in the district Science Brain Bowl and have the opportunity to help biology teachers with tutoring.

The NSHS is best fit for students who “want to take their love for science and apply it to their future through gaining experience from all the activities and opportunities this club has to offer,” Bermudez said.

The NSHS meets during seventh period on club days and twice a week after school in room 230. For more information about the club, contact Bermudez in room 230.
