FBLA in the Business of Christmas Smiles for local Children

Around the Christmas season, the FBLA club hosts an annual stand where they accept toys donated for children. The organization also sells 50 cent lollipops during all lunches to raise money for gifts.

The generous FBLA members believe that giving back to children in need is an important part of what they do. Children all over the world experience a giftless Christmas, but the FBLA club strives to provide presents that will make children smile.

Children make a wish list. It can be one big present such as an iPod or a combination of up to three toys and necessities. Whilst the list-making progresses, the FBLA club puts up a stand to collect donations to provide the children with toys.

‘It’s good to give back and make someone’s Christmas. The less fortunate deserve an equal childhood to all of us,” said Gabriella Enriquez, senior and member of FBLA.

The club donates 100% of the stand’s earnings to children’s toys. This particular collection is held for the less fortunate children of Hillsborough County.

During lunch, anyone at Gaither can donate any amount toward the foundation and make a child’s Christmas truly special.
