Last night the Gaither Cowboys travelled to Freedom High School for their Week 4 matchup against the Patriots. The Cowboys secured their third win of the season on the road.

The first half was littered with penalty flags and punts on both sides of the ball. Gaither’s offense managed to get to the endzone twice but were called back each time due to penalties.

The score was 0-0 until late in the third quarter when the Patriots scored a field goal.

The Cowboys came back strong in their next possession. Senior running back Jeromy Reid received a handoff and passed to senior quarterback Shaye Scott, securing a 55-yard TD.

The final score was 7-3.

Defensive Highlights: Hunter Mintzer, junior SS, interception in first quarter. Kyle Mason, senior LB, interception in third and fourth quarter.
