Due to the power outage Monday afternoon, the elevator did not function Tuesday.

Students using the elevator for medical reasons faced a serious problem with getting to classes throughout the day. How was someone in a wheelchair or crutches expected to make it to the second floor? The APs were trying their best but it was a big mess that was extremely confusing.

There really was no solid plan so it was a lot of figuring it out as it unfolds. Some students were directed to the library or SUCCESS lab and some on crutches even braved hopping up and down the stairs.

A student’s day was completely disrupted and chaotic as they tried to figure out where they should go as well as how to get the work from the classes they were missing.

The elevator was fixed by third period today and all the students affected can now breathe easy that they can go back to their normal schedules.
