New Testing Method for AP Exams

In response to Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines, final exams for Advanced Placement courses will be administered online.

This year, the tests have been changed to 45-minute online exams containing only free response questions. The tests will only cover material typically taught during the first three quarters, meaning students will not be tested on the content they would’ve learned during the fourth quarter.

On March 20, the College Board announced that students could select one of two testing dates.

“Some students may want to take the exam sooner rather than later, while the content is still fresh. Other students may want more time to practice. For each AP subject, there will be 2 different testing dates,” the College Board website said.

The College Board is offering an array of free online materials to help in the learning and studying process.

The College Board is updating information daily. They are hoping to have answers to common questions by April 3, as well as study material for the new exams.

Specific information, schedules and updates can be found on the College Board website.
