Before every football game, Gaither’s Senate hosts a tailgate on the field behind the locker rooms. The tailgate starts at 4:30 p.m. and lasts until 7 p.m.
The tailgates include free food and drinks, like hot dogs and soda and games like bean bag tossing. Students can also play other games in the field.
There is washable face paint provided for students who want to wear it at the game to support the Cowboys.
“The tailgates are really fun and eventful and more people should come,” student Ava Vaccaro said.
Last week’s tailgate included a chili contest that but not many people participated due to lack of awareness.
Tonight there will be another tailgate for the first playoff game of the postseason. It is open for students, teachers, parents and anyone who wants to come.
Those that go to the tailgate still have to pay for entrance into the game.
