Yesterday was the kick-off of the 2015 Spirit Week.

Pink-Out has been successful in previous years so it was recycled again this year. Some students participated by wearing a pink shirt or pink bracelet, while others went all-out and dressed head-to-toe in the color pink.

Not only does Gaither have a Pink Out spirit day, but it’s also the theme of the homecoming game against Freedom High School.

The Pink Out day was chosen in support of breast cancer awareness given October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

“I’d much rather see students go all out and look stupid for spirit week then to try and look cute and not have school spirit at all. It’s more fun when you go all out,” said Senior Alexis Edwards.

Students are encouraged to participate in the student spirit days for the rest of the week!
