5 New Movies Coming Out This Fall

A lot of great movies are coming out this fall, including a variety that ranges from ordinary comedies to heartwarming family films to thrilling new horror movies. Here are the top five movies coming soon in August and September.


  • “A-X-L”

This family adventure movie coming out Aug. 24 is about a top-secret robotic dog named A.X.L. who was created by the military. Following an experiment gone wrong he finds himself in the desert, where a boy named Miles finds him and helps fix him up and ends up starting a friendship with the dog. When the military finds out that he’s hiding him, Miles does everything he can to keep A.X.L. safe because he believes that he is more than just a robot. This movie stars Becky G, Alex Neustaedter, and many more.


  • “Operation Finale”

This dramatic thriller movie, based on a true story, comes out Aug. 29 and is about a Mossad agent in the 1960s tracking down Adolf Eichmann, the Nazi officer who established the transportation to the concentration camps, to get justice. This movie stars Oscar Isaac, Ben Kingsley, Nick Kroll and many more.


  • “The Nun”

This mystery horror film coming out Sept.7 is about a young nun who experiences visions that end with the face of a demonic nun. When a priest is sent to investigate by the Vatican, they end up finding something that could risk both their lives and their souls. This movie stars Taissa Farmiga, Bonnie Aarons, Demian Bichir and more.


  • “The Predator”

This thriller coming out Sept. 14 is about hunters from outer space that have evolved into the ultimate predator. They start attacking people when a boy accidentally triggers them to come to Earth, and it’s up to a scientist and ex-soldiers to save the human race. This movie stars Olivia Munn, Boyd Holbrook, Keegan-Michael Kay, Sterling K. Brown and many more.


  • “The House with a Clock in its Walls”

This fantasy movie that comes out Sept.21 is about a ten-year-old boy named Lewis who discovers magic in his uncle’s creepy old house and soon learns how to use magic, too. Soon after the house starts to turn wicked, thanks to the old house owner’s clock in its walls. Whenever the clock chimes, something bad happens. This movie stars Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, Owen Vaccaro.
